We recently had a major wind storm, knocking out power and causing damage to home from downed trees. The common question “ My neighbors tree fell onto my property, damaging my home How does my homeowners insurance help?" As far as general yard clean up that’s between the two property owners , insurance companies do not cover the cost of clean up. Any damage to the property must be managed by the property owners insurance company. Your neighbors is not liable for the damage.
